What is professional tree felling?
Professional Tree Felling is cutting a tree down in a way that is planned, managed, and safe. It is also cleaned up in an environmentally friendly way afterwards. The task can be dangerous, which is why this is regularly left to qualified professionals.
Firstly the fall of the tree has to be planned, so different variables have to be taken into account: Slope of the ground, size and type of the tree, lean of the tree, wind factors and other trees and objects in the immediate area. Also how the tree will be disposed of once cut down, so the surrounding area must also be looked at.
Next, the actual tree felling will be performed with a chainsaw or specialised machine depending on amount of trees. The tree will be cut in a very specific way so that it falls exactly as planned. This may be cutting just one side of the tree, or cutting into notches. The reason it needs to fall as planned is so that it doesn't lodge into another object, or fall into another object and destroy it.
Another risk of the felling is unforeseeable problems, such as debris from the branches or roots. These often fall in an unpredictable way as it depends on age of the tree, quality of the wood, whether animals have nested within etc.
Finally, the tree will be disposed of in a tree shredding vehicle. This will leave us with just the chippings that we will then dispose of in an environmentally friendly way. We will also clear up the loose debris such as the branches and leaves that have fallen.
